The MonkeyFeet works by allowing you to pick up dumbbells with your feet. And the beauty is in the simplicity: you simply strap what looks like a snowboard binding (with a closing hook on the underside) to your foot, and away you go!

All clipped in and ready to go with the MonkeyFeet!

Like many of the other devices I own, the MonkeyFeet can be used for general strengthening, injury prevention training, and even injury rehabilitation (when appropriate). I use it for all of these scenarios.

The MonkeyFeet will allow you to train large muscles groups such as:

  • The quadriceps
  • The hamstrings
  • The adductors
  • The gluteal muscles

As with the TRX, for me, one of the immensely strong selling points of the MonkeyFeet is the versatility it provides while taking up practically no space; you can toss it in your gym bag and use it at the gym, home, or anywhere else you have access to some dumbbells.

It’s also nice that this little guy doesn’t break the bank, so the price-to-versatility ratio is about as ideal as it gets.

Hamstring curls are deceptively hard when using the MonkeyFeet (but that’s a good thing)!

Supine quad extensions are often a go-to exercise for my patients who require certain types of knee-strengthening protocols!
